Villasimius is situated on the southeastern coast of Sardinia, and is about 50 km from Cagliari-Elmas.

On September 15th 1998, Villasimius becomes a Marine Protected Area whose aim is ‘to protect, conserve and enhance the natural resources of the marine and coastal environment; to promote sustainable development with the environment; to create environmental awareness among the inhabitants of the area and tourists. This protection is through the prohibition of activities that constitute danger or harm the animal and plant species that reside there.
Therefore activities such as hunting, trapping, collecting and damage to plant and animal species are prohibited; the discharge of any waste which would affect the marine environment; the introduction of any weapon, explosive, means of capture are also prohibited;
All nature around Villasimius deserves to be known and visited. For this purpose are organized boat trips, jeep tours, hiking, mountain bike trails. Ask at the hotel reception all the information.
The territory of Villasimius, with 32 km of shoreline offer the chance to visit a real natural paradise with golden sand, crystal clear water and seabed with various species of spectacular fish. You will be spoiled for choice!
The beaches can be reached from the main roads, others only by sea or along the trails on foot or horseback. Some beaches are equipped with kiosks and toilets!
